New Modular Center (N.M.C.): a concept summed up in three words: accessibility, visibility and user-friendliness.

Bowling Switzerland Inc. propose un panel de services complet base sur le concept New Modular Center (N.M.C.), un concept se résumant en quatre mots: modernité, accessibilité, visibilité et convivialité.

À l’image de l’émergence des centres commerciaux et de leurs offres pléthoriques qui deviennent de véritables pôles d’attractions, le N.M.C. veut offrir un maximum de loisirs dans un même lieu, facile d’accès. Un nouveau concept qui prévoit en bloc la construction, l’aménagement de grands centres de sport et de loisirs avec des affectations qui vont du bowling aux billards et jeux d’arcade, en passant par le restaurant, la discothèque et l’hôtel.

Dans la 2ème moitié du XXème siècle, les centres de bowling construits en Suisse et en Europe ont été exclusivement tournés vers la pratique du bowling, c’est-à-dire que la majorité de l’espace était dédiée aux pistes, ne laissant que très peu d’espace pour d’autres affectations. Ce modèle disparaîtra progressivement fin du siècle dernier pour laisser la place à des centres de loisirs plus spacieux axés, bien entendu, autour de la pratique du bowling mais plus encore…billards, ping-pong, jeux vidéo, bars / snack, restaurant compléteront peu à peu l’offre de loisirs.

It was at this point that Bowling Switzerland Inc imagined what an NMC could be, in the image of the emergence of shopping malls and their plethora of offerings, which are becoming veritable magnets, The NMC aims to offer a maximum of conviviality, leisure and catering facilities in a single, easily accessible location… a place where life is good. integrating leisure and sports activities such as bowling, games, padle, squash, fitness, solarium, discotheque and hotel on a modular basis.

The interior is designed in the style of a shopping mall, with a focus on consumer enjoyment through the layout and arrangement of the various leisure functions between floors.

When it comes to leisure, consumers tend to react in the same way as they do in shopping malls: they no longer want to shop in dark boxes. The building becomes an element of communication that must contribute to the consumer’s pleasure, and the NMC responds to this expectation with an architecture that offers space and light.

By way of example, one floor would house the bowling lanes, the billiards and arcade games area, the bar and its drinking area, the restaurant and other sports activities. Another floor would consist of two mezzanines, housing a discotheque, fitness area and terrace, joined by a walkway. The main advantage of the two mezzanines is that the customer has a constant link to the largest possible number of assignments: see and be seen!
